Another great day out for the Crew with 42 squad members taking part in the Athletics NSW Sydney 10 on the weekend.

With Crew members running in both the 10km and 5km races, we expected some great results. And we weren’t disappointed, with 29 of the Crew setting new PBs, and even more happy faces on the day.

A big breakthrough came for our own Nat Archer, securing 3rd place in 33:41, behind two incredible athletes: Gwen Jorgenson, 1st in an amazing 32:12, and Eloise Wellings.

The men’s race also entertained, with Liam Adams taking the win after an epic sprint finish with Jake Birtwhistle.

For the Run Crew squad, there were some brilliant performances right through the field. Among the highlights was an epic battle between two of the Penrith squad members: Rachel, who is just returning from a broken collarbone, and Karl, who is new to running and improving at an incredible rate.

Coach Tiger was on a high after the event, both from the results and the camaraderie among the Crew, who seem to be following his mantra: “Running must always be fun!”
